Ghanaian entertainment pundit and the Chairman of the Song Writers Association, Mr. Logic has thrown his weight behind the Food And Drugs Authority(FDA) upon their decision to ban Ghanaian celebrities and public figures from endorsing alcoholic beverages.
According to Mr. Logic, the FDA did absolutely nothing wrong by restricting Ghanaian celebrities from endorsing alcoholic drinks. He stated that the association aims at curbing the excessive consumption of alcoholic drinks through the influence of celebrities.
He highlighted that alcohol is never a good thing to be tolerated in the first place, hence it was appropriate for the authority to enact ground rules to ban celebrities from endorsing the act in order to get the youth in the country to also desist from it.
Mr. Logic also said that most of the youth in the country are influenced by the actions and decisions made by their favorite celebrities, hence they would not hesitate to emulate any act they see them engaging in, provided the celebrity has endorsed it.
He believes that the Food and Drugs Authority’s decision to save the youth in the country by restricting the endorsements of alcoholic drinks by Ghanaian celebrities should be commended.
